A Tribute to Michael Jackson

I changed my playlist to a few of my favorite Michael Jackson songs. He lead a very strange life but contributed so much to music. I danced and sang along to all his music. I love the song We Are the World which he helped write and sang parts with other artists. Another favorite is Man in the Mirror, I don't remember the year but my dance studio did a Michael Jackson tribute and the prefomance to that song is forever in my mind. Altered Clipboards

When we were house hunting in May, our real estate agent Patty had very old clip boards with transformers on them for us to use. She is an awesome real estate agent and a super nice lady so I made a little thank you gift for her - new clip boards.

Easter Chick Baskets

Look at me adding to the blog 3 times in one day, it's feast or famine I guess.

Here's a couple pics of little Easter Chick Baskets I made for my daycare kidos and one of Jenna's friends. I cut it out with my Cricut using a cutfile from JenC, see her blog Brian Things in my blog list, she's awesome!!! Her file made a slightly smaller basket so I enlarged it a little bit.

Adventures of Flat Cloey

Our niece Cloey sent us a flat Cloey. Her first grade class just finished reading the book 'Flat Stanley' by Jeff Brown and thought it would be fun to make themselves flat and mail them off for an adventure. We have been doing lots of things with flat Cloey and are taking her on some excursions and on a trip to KS. Here's a few pics of her recent activities.

Gotta Love Post Its!

Here's a cute video, I saw on another blog.

A Princess' Dream Comes True

Jenna wanted to have a princess party for her 3rd birthday so we did! Grandma at the farm made her a beautiful custom princess dress, like Bell's from Beauty and the Beast but in Bright Pink instead of yellow. It was gorgeous and Jenna loved it! We had all our Iowa friends and family join us for a Royal Ball, Cinderella even stopped by to play games and dance. We decorated crowns, became true princesses (story of Princess and the Pea), danced and of course we ate cake. Jenna wanted a princess cake so I made a Barbie in the dress cake and it turned out surprisingly well. All in all it was a magical day!

Finally Ella Marie Arrives

After much anticipation Miss Ella Marie arrived 1 week past her due. We got to meet over the weekend. Jenna was so excited to hold and play with her new cousin, Jenna can't wait until she is a little bigger though!

Paying it Forward

The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a hand made gift from me during this year. When and what it will be is a surprise. There's a small catch...You knew there would be one didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Remember, only the first 3 people to comment receive a gift. Let's see who looks at my blog!

Revised: I'm going with the first 5 people!

Pictures

Hello Again

We'll I've neglected my blog for far too long. I wish I could say I've been busy but the truth is I've been spending my blog time on Facebook. I know, I know but it is very addictive and I have caught up with lots of long lost friends. I'm back now and updated the background for spring which I hope comes soon. We got 7 moe inches of snow over the weekend. I have also been very busy creating (pictures to follow soon). I've been making a scrapbook for my sister-due very soon with her first baby. I'm trying to make pages for her to fill in for the first year, I know I didn't have time to scrapbook much after J was first born. I also just made invites for her baby shower - too cute if I do say so myself! J's bday is also fast approaching and as usual we are having two parties so I've been making the invites. One is an all-star gymnastics theme, we are having the party at The Little Gym and the other is a princess ball. Grandma is making her a gorgeous custom princess dress - (check out her blog Scrap'n Grandma from my list) for pictures. J is very excited about it and wants to call Grandma daily for updates on its progress.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome 2009! I wonder what this year will bring. I know some things will change and some will stay the same. For starters my baby, I mean little girl will continue to grow up too fast, we will all get older, hopefully wiser and we will be moving. I don't know where we are going yet, but I'm sure it will be an exciting adventure! 2008 was a great year and won't soon be forgotten but it's fun to think about what lies ahead and what surprises we are in for!
